STURTEVANT — The “Feline Groovy” Cat Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20-21, at Fountain Banquet Hall, 8505 Durand Ave.
Presented by Cats Rule Cat Club, The Great Lakes Region of The International Cat Association, the show includes five judging rings daily and a junior exhibitor ring Sunday afternoon. Many breeds of cats/kittens and household pet cats compete for Top 3 Best of the Best on Sunday’s completion. Some breeds featured include Maine coon, sphynx (hairless cat) and Persian.
Admission is $6 for adults, $5 seniors and $3 for children ages 8 and younger.
Visit with shelters who will have available cats needing to be adopted. On Saturday, Jacqueline Cole, author of “Blue Moon — A Cat’s Wish” will have books for sale and signing, with portion of proceeds going to the shelters.
North American Feline Behavior Outreach Services (cat behaviorist) Victoria Papa will help owners with inappropriate cat behavior. There will be vendors with cat trees, toys, teasers, beds and other related items.
