Two cats died in a fire this morning in Boynton Beach – but a dog, two turtles and snake were saved.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue officials said fire crews were called a fire on the 7800 block of Metro Drive.

The first crews on the scene reported heavy smoke from a mobile home. The residents rold firefighters there was a fire in the kitchen area and that family pets were still inside.

Despite the blaze, crews went inside and were able to save a dog, two turtles and a snake. Two family cats were found but they were already dead.
